Winter Snow Scene
I enjoy winter here in Chicago but I also enjoy winter when it is over. Some years ago all I had for a digital camera was one of these pocket cameras. I think I got it at Aldi. Anyhow, one of the things I learned over the years is to try to capture nature and beauty. I also learned to think abstract, something an old friend and I had a head knocking argument about when we were teenagers. The image above is not the original, it has been modified with Adobe Photoshop. I would like to know what you think about it. so feel free to contact me on Twitter. TMSphotos

Moonlit Tree Shadow in Snow
A few nights ago I had taken the dog out back and I noticed the shadow of the tree in the snow. The shadow was cast by moonlight. I thought it looked pretty kewl and wondered what a photo would look like. So I went and got my camera and put it on the tripod. The photo above was taken with a Pentax K-7, f/8, 63 seconds, ISO 200. I then opened it in Photoshop and used the Auto Levels function. This image is the outcome.
